Every year, in Brooks Alberta, the drama 8-B class puts on a play.To acompany the play we also have to do a portfolio project, this is mine. This year our play was entitled Lagooned! On this webpage you can learn all about it! You will be able to learn about the play,about the cast, how we raised enough money to put on our play and some personal expierences from me and the cast! But first a little about our projects, our portfolio projects are worth a big chunk of our mark, about 40%. They can be anything you want to do, life of your character, photo album, video cassette. | We had so many Adventures ==========> |
Our play was about a group of people that got shipwrecked,and the adventures they have. Some of them are pretty wild! They are trapped on an island that they thought was deserted, they were wrong.At first they think there's cannibals on the island and at the very end they find out it's all fake. It's for a business called Fantasy Tours. But before everyone can get off the island they find out that the Army is planning a bombardment on the island. It takes alot of money to put on a play. We had many ideas to fundraise but we didn't need all of them. Because we made our own props and borrowed stuff from here and there that cut down on expenses quite a bit. Our first fundraiser was a car wash which raised us about $500. Not bad. But then we sold cookie dough and raised almost $2000. We raised so much money that we were able to buy T-Shirts, lunch before our afternoon show and have a huge pizza party after it was over. I know many people had some awesome times and wanted share there expierences. Such as these: Emily Woodcock - Arlene Zane - "I learned alot from this play.
